There are four main airlines which operate out of the City of Derry Airport (LDY), providing regular scheduled flights to London, Glasgow International and Glasgow Preswick, Liverpool, East Midlands and Dublin. In addition, two routes to London Luton and Birmingham were added in autumn 2008. There are also charter flights available to Majorca, Lanzarote and Portugal available during the summer.

The airport's main airline is Ryanair, which operates a direct service between the City of Derry Airport and London Stansted as well as Alicante in the summer. This budget service has proven to be extremely popular with both business and leisure travellers, boosting the number of passengers who use the airport.
In June 2009 Bulgarian airline Balkan Holidays Airlines (BH Air) became the airport's newest carrier, providing flights to and from Bourgas.
